Vote for YOU

November traditionally marks the beginning of the holiday season. And this year, the end of the Presidential Campaign!

Every four years, I am intrigued by the process and more specifically, the individuals who throw themselves into the process. Despite the desire to run away from the polling calls, mailers, TV ads, and debates, this year, the campaign trail has reminded me of an important lesson!

Throughout the election process, there is a phrase commentators say often, "The candidate's team." This statement conjurs up Hollywood induced visions of campaign buses full of individuals; smartly dressed, using beautifully scripted banter, as they plot and plan. While this image may be slightly more Hollywood sound stage than Campaign 2012, it reinforces a strong reality.  Whether your are Martin Sheen running for President on the West Wing, or Chris Noth trying to recover from a scandal on The Good Wife, you must be surrounded by good people.

True of the candidate, true for you and me. We may not be running for office, but that doesn't mean that our command center couldn't use some Hollywood magic. That right hand person, who completes our thoughts and makes things happen. However,  the every day person typically struggles with this reality. We frequently fall in the trap of "doing it all ourselves."

Here at Task It 2 ME, I want people to think differently. That, for all of us, is not about doing the work personally, but about getting the job done. Whether it is having a bookkeeper to watch the books, or send thank yous to your customers, we all need to strive to have and rely on a team.

So this Election day, as you head to the polls, remember to vote for yourself. Vote to gain back time and hire yourself a team!
